Living Costs for staff at BCS
How are staff financially funded?
Staff who feel they have been called to serve at BCS are supported by churches and individual. (None of the international team of staff at BCS receives a salary). These partners not only commit to financially supporting our staff, but are often their greatest prayer partners as they serve the children of missionaries in Senegal, and West Africa.
How much will it cost to stay here?
During term time when the school is in operation all staff and children pay a fixed rate which covers all their food taken during meals and official snack times in the dining room. It also covers wages for all the ancillary staff working in the school. This also covers electricity, use of washing machines and soap powder and compound maintenance costs. Some of the costs are standard such as the daily running costs rate, but there are other variables such as how much money you want to spend on your day off or at the shop.
During the holiday time the programme is less stringent and people cater for themselves. A reduced rate is charged to cover electricity, guards at the gate and other costs when the school is shut.
