Living costs
How much will it cost to stay here?

During term time when the school is in operation all staff and children pay a fixed rate which covers all their food taken during meals and official snack times in the dining room. It also covers wages for all the ancillary staff working in the school. The board rate also covers electricity, use of washing machines and soap powder and compound maintenance costs. Some of the costs are standard such as the daily board rate, but there are other variables such as how much money you want to spend on your day off or at the shop.

During the holiday time the programme is less stringent and people cater for themselves. You are charged a nominal fee (400cfa per day) for electricity and other costs when the school is shut.
